What causes depression?

Answered By Dane Loveless, Editor

There are no exact answers about what causes depression. However, more than one option can involve at one time. You can consider the following

- It can be because of emotional stress, physical effort or mental tension without appropriate rest or enough sleep. The tension will exhaust the nervous system or reduce the organism from nutrient important for the nervous system to function correctly.

- Legacy is thought to be one of the causes of depression.

- It may be a result of physical diseases.

- An unsafe way of living with less exercise, many stimulants such as coffee or tea can also be one of the causes.

- Pregnancy and giving birth is physically and emotionally tiring, and it may exhaust the body nutrients that usually result to depression.
